My name is Ben, I’m 33, and live in Cork, Ireland. You could call me a bit of a ‘blow-in’, given i’m a recent addition to this great city.
I’m originally from Barnsley, a town of 220,000 people in the middle of South Yorkshire in the North of England, but lived up until March 2010 in London.
So, I suppose the big question is why the blog?
September 2009, after a year of feeling ‘ill’,losing weight, and losing my job. I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease.
I’m hoping with this blog, to inform people about IBD’s (Inflammatory Bowel Diseases), and maybe shed a little light on what its like to live with this condition. To maybe move the condition out of the ‘smallest room’ and into the light of day, and maybe show to those who have been diagnosed Life doesn’t end or stop, it just takes a different turn……..

What does “blow-in” mean? Is it another term for “newbie”? I’m looking forward to your posts about this condition. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah it could equate to being a newbie, but I just sorta arrived here and settled in. Being a newbie to me suggests a planned move…..this move was anything but planned.
